Stanford Students - AI and The World of Tomorrow

In this episode, we met up with Stanford undergrads Caroline Graham, a Symbolic Systems major focusing on AI ethics, Caroline Schurz, a Political Science student, and Ari Glenn, a Computer Science undergrad specializing in AI and cybersecurity. Recorded spontaneously across Stanford’s campus and the scenic hills of Palo Alto, these conversations offer unique insights into the academic and personal perspectives of the next generation of AI thinkers.

Caroline Schurz

Caroline Schurz has a diverse professional background spanning partnerships, mentorship, venture capital, and project management. She is currently a Partnerships Associate at Chapter. Previously, she served as Campus Director and Chief Operating Officer at Start-Up Nation Mentorship, and as a New Company Creation Summer Associate at Atomic. Caroline has been a Fellow at StartUp Health and Birthright Israel Excel, and a Venture Capital Analyst Intern at Aleph. Her experience includes roles as an Investment Analyst at OurCrowd, Project Manager at TechForGood, Ad Sales Representative atThe Stanford Daily, and Marketing Intern at Northside Tutoring. She co-founded Generation: Our Climate and interned with the County of Marin and the SouthBend Tribune, where she published digital content and interviewed then-Mayor Pete Buttigieg.

Caroline Graham

Caroline Graham has a diverse background in business development, research, and marketing. She recently interned at The D. E. ShawGroup in Business Development and Strategy and served as a Research Assistant at Stanford University's Virtual Human Interaction Lab and Behavioral Lab. She also held roles as a Project Manager and Consultant for Stanford Marketing and interned as a Venture Capital Analyst at Blumberg Capital.

Caroline's experience includes working at the Deliberative DemocracyLab, Shopify, and the Civic Health Project. She has been involved in business development and teaching at Create & Learn and founded FUSION, a student-run arts initiative. Additionally, she interned at TKEES, where she developed a social media marketing campaign and solved customer service issues.

Ari Glenn

Ari Glenn holds a master's and bachelor's degree in ComputerScience. He has a diverse background in strategy, product management, and software engineering. Currently, he is interning in Strategy & Product at Jane Street. Ari is the Founder and President of Get In The Game, a non-profit engaging underprivileged students in programming and coding exercises. He has interned at Circle and Wix on their security teams and was a Birthright Israel Excel Fellow.

Ari has also worked as a Stanford Economics Research Assistant, analyzing the impact of electricity access in Uganda, and was a D1Athlete on Stanford's Fencing Team. His other roles include Equity Research Analyst at Lighthaven Capital Management, Researcher & Archivist at TheHoover Institution, and Product Manager & Lead Software Developer at Manzanita Labs. He also has experience shadowing as an iOS Developer at Facebook.
